Pamela is a former public school teacher who has taught Kindergarten and first grade. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University and has several Master’s levels classes focusing on Reading, Literacy, and Curriculum Development. After leaving the classroom she has become a homeschool teacher to her child and other families for the last 7 years. Offering classes in Science and Literature mostly, she has found her passion in one-on-one tutoring students struggling with reading while focusing on Dyslexia remediation for the last 3 years. She has over 10 years of experience in tutoring students in a one-on-one and small group setting. Pamela has program-specific training in Barton Reading and Spelling, Foundations in Sounds,  UFLI, and Orton Gillingham methods, as well as Dyslexia training and seminars from The Dyslexia Training Institute. She also continues to study current published research and literature on best practices for remediation.
