FEES & PAYMENT
My rate is $ 42 per session for tutoring, testing, and report writing. Sessions generally last 50 minutes. Payments shall be made weekly, or at each session. If you need another arrangement then that can be made privately. You will receive invoicing through Tutorbird and can pay directly through the invoice. Invoices are due the day of the invoice date. a $5 late fee will be charged every week after an invoice is 14 days late. Sessions can be suspended or student dismissed if invoices are more than 30 days late. Invoices are emailed on Fridays.

TRAVEL TIME
Charges for travel time will be made according to the regular rate if travel is necessary.
MATERIALS
The Client agrees to pay for any materials deemed necessary by the Tutor. (Ex. Most students need a headset if you are a remote student as well as a computer to access the lessons on.)
Tutorbird account
Each parent has access to a Student portal in tutorbird. Please record your individual login information.
The client agrees to access their account to view schedules( you can cancel and book makeup spots through this as well) view notes, invoices, and resources for practice as well as you can even record study time as an optional feature.
LATENESS, CANCELLATIONS, and NO SHOWS
The lateness and cancellation policy has been created to be fair to the Client and Tutor, as well as other students who may be scheduled on the same day as the Student.
Lateness
No adjustment of fees or schedule shall be made for time lost because of late arrival or early departure by the Student.
In addition, a student who is picked up late more than once will be subject to additional fees for the extended time according to the normal hourly rate. (Only applies to in-person students)
Virtual sessions and in-person sessions will be canceled if the student is more than 15 minutes late and the session will still be charged without a makeup credit.
Cancellations
Sessions canceled at least 5 business days in advance will not be billable. Otherwise, The client agrees to let the Tutor know of cancellations by phone, text, or email at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, whenever possible. Those sessions canceled without a 5 day notice will be billable and 1 makeup credit can be given. Credits expire after 90 days and it is the client’s responsibility to schedule makeup sessions through tutorbird or the tutor.
No-Shows
If a session is missed without prior notification (No-Show), the Client will be charged the full hourly rate for the missed session. The client agrees to let the tutor know within 24 hours that the following appointment will be kept. If the client has more than 3 no-shows then it is grounds for dismissal from services.
Virtual Tutoring: The client agrees to have the student prepared and in a quiet distraction-free area ready to participate. For best results, the Zoom sessions need to be conducted on a laptop or desktop with a mouse and keyboard for manipulating the tiles and other components on the screen. Some Chromebooks will work but generally not school-issued ones. Tablets and other handheld devices do not allow the student to screen share the same and manipulate the items on the screen. If your only option is a tablet then please let me know so I can do my best to adapt the materials and learning styles to fit this.
Practice:
It is assumed that each student will practice reading or skills being taught in sessions in between sessions to solidify skills. You can find practice materials in the online resources of your Tutorbird account along with notes from sessions.

School advocacy: As your Child’s tutor I am available to communicate with teachers and admin, and assist with IEP and planning-type meetings via Zoom or other virtual means as long as I have the availability. This service will be charged at my standard hourly rate.
Discontinue of Services
The client agrees to give the tutor a 2 week written notice that services will be discontinued. This includes discontinuation for any length of time more than 2 weeks. Students who stop services for more than 2 weeks are not guaranteed to have a spot held for them and are subject to any price changes that have occurred since beginning services.
